ASB Manukau

While not a large contract in itself, ASB Manukau was important for two reasons. Firstly, it was the first project between Naylor Love and Miller Design, which has subsequently set the two parties up to continue to undertake more work together. Secondly , it facilitated our entry, via Naylor Love, into being involved with the new offices for Jasmax Architects in Augustus Terrace, Parnell. This was important from the perspective of being able to showcase our new commercial product, the Atlantic Suite, in an architectural environment, as well as giving us an entrée into the manufacture and installation of Modulit, a recently launched polycarbonate cladding system. There is a growing necessity in Miller Design diversifying into cladding alternatives given the growing emphasis of one party taking responsibility for the entire weathering package, rather than one party picking up an area, another party another area, and “never the Twain shall meet”.
